GROUP MOVEMENT CLASSES

PRIVATE 1-ON-1 MOVEMENT SESSIONS

SUPPORT CIRCLE FOR LOVED ONES

  • Group Movement & Breathwork

A gentle steady space to move alongside others. These small group sessions emphasize soft transitions, intentional breathwork, and present moment awareness. Guidance is offered through inclusive, choice based language, ensuring you retain total agency over your practice.

  • Private Sessions

One-on-One time structured completely around your individual comfort and needs. Private sessions allow for a quiet, low-sensory space to explore grounding techniques, adapt movement for how your body feels today, and practice at a pace that feels safe and supportive as you learn to trust your body.

  • Friends and Family Support Sessions

Community and connection for loved ones navigating the journey together. These sessions offer guided mindfulness, shared movement and quiet reflection to help build a compassionate, understanding circle of support outside the studio.

  • A commitment to your journey

Agency & Choice: Every movement instruction is an invitation, never an expectation. Rest is always welcomed, supported, and normalized.

Neutral & Inclusive Language: We focus purely on internal sensation, breath, and grounding- never on physical appearance, earning, or performance.

Sensory & Comfort: Soft lighting, no mirrors, accessible props, and a quiet, calming environment help create a safe environment for you to begin your movement journey.

Katie graduated from the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at The University of Texas at Austin. She began her carrier in public health nutrition in San Diego and Los Angeles, with a focus on maternal and child health. While working in underserved communities in Los Angeles, she combined her passions for healthcare, nutrition, and dance by teaching and helping connect families of young dancers to public health clinic resources through the nonprofit Everybody Dance!, which received the National Arts & Humanities Youth Program Award from First Lady Michelle Obama.

Katie’s work in multidisciplinary eating disorder treatment began at the UCLA Arthur Ashe Student Health & Wellness Center. She went on to develop a distinctive approach to Family-Based Treatment (FBT) - informed care through close collaboration with Dr. Lauren Muhlheim at Eating Disorder Therapy LA. She also served as the eating disorder dietitian at Optimum Performance Institute in Woodland Hills, California, a residential program specializing in DBT- focused mental health treatment for young adults. Besides individual nutritional counseling, Katie taught the Restorative Movement Group and the Nutritional Balance Group at OPI. Themes in both, discussed a nutritive relationship with food and body through sensation, metaphor, intuition, and self compassion.

As a master trainer, she co-instructs EDRD Pro’s FBT-Informed Eating Disorder Treatment: A Course for Dietitians, helping train dietitians in evidence-based, family-centered care.
